What Makes A Great Speaker For Your Next Insurance Event?

So maybe you need a speaker for your insurance association or mastermind group. But what really makes you looks awesome to your constituents and boss? Finding the best speaking talent that gets rave reviews! As a firm that gets hired to speak across the country we have seen the best and worst so we wanted to pull together a few key items to think through when selecting a paid speaker for your next event!

Is the speaker easy to work with?

You want your job to be easy right? Well the speaker who doesn’t respond or doesn’t help your organization may not be the best fit. You want complete confidence that your speaker is there for your viewers and to give ultimate value.

Will the speaker be around?

Too often we see speakers hide in their room, swoop down for their session and then bounce out as fast as possible. You want someone that will engage with your attendees. Someone they can grab a beer with and learn.

Is the presentation available to the attendees?

Some speakers look at their presentation as their property and don’t love to share. That’s crazy! The real value is the knowledge from the speaker not the powerpoint.  The more the speaker will share the better the experience.

Is the presentation fresh or is it the same one as 5 years ago?

Don’t laugh, I have seen the same presentation many times! So often it can be sad when the knowledge is dated and the speaker hasn’t kept it up. That’s not what you are paying for!

Will they promote your event?

Every event we speak at we promote it on all social media channels, send an email out to people in that target market and post and hashtag while at the event. If your speakers isn’t sharing your event, think twice. We post all of our speaking on our events page.
