In insurance we think about ourselves WAY TOO MUCH. Independent agents may be the last industry on earth thinking non stop how to serve ourselves vs. serving our customer. Here are the realities:
- Agencies still close at lunch despite it’s the highest call volume time
- We are difficult to get a quote from, we have terrible hours, quotes can take DAYS and the person who takes the information may only email them a quote in return
- As a whole we are the last adopters of technology. Many agencies do not even email their customers for nurturing campaigns.
Yes we all run around saying we give amazing customer service. If you have learned anything from the amazing Syndey Roe’s video it’s customer experience starts with the customer’s experience not what’s easiest for you.
