75 HARD and Insurance – Time Management
This week we’re talking all about our experience with 75 Hard, the grueling mental toughness challenge, and some business lessons we’ve learned while doing it. For more details on the challenge itself, check out our post from earlier in the week here. Today we’re talking about 75 Hard, insurance, and time management.
“if you’re feeling overwhelmed and stuck in thinking “There’s no way I could do two workouts and all this stuff, I don’t have time,” I’d encourage you to bite the bullet. You will find the time. Now there might be some times at 11 o’clock at night, you’re on your Peloton. And there might be some times where you’re walking in a hotel parking lot at 3:00 AM. Yes, but it’s all about what’s important to you.”
Time management is a challenge for a lot of people in a lot of agencies. And we actually teach a time management course, because of how important it is. Despite the fact that we feel pretty secure with our own time management abilities, we’ve still learned some time management lessons from 75 Hard.
75 Hard and Insurance – Time Management
Here’s the thing: we’re already pretty efficient when it comes to time management, and we actually found even more time in our day by doing 75 Hard. First, we were taking better care of ourselves, so we had more energy. And second, we had to be very specific. If you want to get in two workouts a day, and one outside, you need to find ways to make that work. We could also say no to activities that didn’t fit into this new routine, such as going out for drinks, leaving more time for our time management.
The idea with time management is that you actually can fit it all in, in just one day. And what we found was that we had more time in one day than we ever truly thought about, which is really critical. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and stuck in your head, and you think there’s no way you can get in two workouts and everything else, we encourage you to bite the bullet. You will find the time, it’s all about what is important to you. Feeling bad about not getting enough things done each day is no way to live.
Once you build your skill set of managing your time and managing through the challenges of time, you’ll always be able to get things done.
