Today’s topic is something incredibly important, that many agencies often shy away from: how to set goals. And to approach that topic, it’s important to ask “where is your insurance agency now?”

All of us have fears, and sometimes, instead of embracing goals head on, we simply say we aren’t going to set them, so we don’t fail. But the problem with that is without a target, no one knows what success is, or what we’re aiming for.
That’s not the only problem when we don’t set goals. When we don’t have the courage to set goals, we’re always going to aim too small, and we’re also going to have no way of tracking success.
But here’s the thing when it comes to goals: a lot of the time, people don’t know how to set them. And what’s the first step to setting a goal?
Knowing where you are now.
If you want to hit a personal financial goal, you need to look in your bank account and understand where your finances currently are.
The point of a goal is to get better. So you can shoot for something attainable. It doesn’t have to be so easy, or so crazy. Instead, it can be attainable, which means you can accomplish it with a little bit of hard work.
If you’re looking to set goals, you need to ask yourself the question “Where is your insurance agency now?” By digging deep and seeing where you are, you can set goals for where you’re going.
