As a business owner myself, I love it when a team member finds me a way to save money or sells something to help us make more money. It makes me personally feel like you care about the success of my business and that you are here to do more than collect a paycheck. With insurance it’s one step even further. It shows you care about the accurate protection of the client. People don’t know what to ask for, you have to educate them.
Whether you are in sales or not, it doesn’t matter. Account rounding is education not sales. The benefits far out weigh keeping the information to yourself. Make it a point to once per day ask for another line of business. You will be amazed at what can happen. Try different ways to ask. Make it a personal challenge.
When you do account round, make it known! Tell your manager and spread the word to your co-workers. Starting an account rounding movement will only help you in the long run!
