Women in insurance, listen up to this video. You have all the potential to be a ridiculously amazing insurance agent. But let’s have the conversation… There is one thing that makes you look weak and susceptible to taking more payments rather than selling more policies. Break up with this one habit that far too many women practice both professionally in insurance and in their personal lives. STOP APOLOGIZING for everything. When your mom taught you to apologize, it was with good reason. Unless you wronged someone, stop apologizing. “I’m sorry” rarely fixes an insurance issue. There are two types of apologies women fall victim to: 1) You say you’re sorry because you feel bad that they feel bad — i.e. “I’m sorry your rate went up.” Did you select their rate? …. NOOOOOOO 2) You apologize because a client made you feel like you let them down. Instead, collect yourself, look at the situation to see where communication broke down and seek to fix the problem.
