Everyone is telling you social media is the way of the future and the best way to capture your audience, but you have no idea how to even begin.
That’s okay.
Social media is a big world that keeps on growing, and with that growth comes many changes on effective methods to reach new/potential leads.
Lucky for you, I have come up with 3 tips that will make you SHINE as a social media guru for your agency.
TIP #1
Use a CRM tool for social media publishing
There are many programs out there that will make your life as a marketer much easier (Here’s some programs programs I like: Hubspot, Co-Schedule, HootSuite, and Buffer). Tools that allow you to schedule posts not only makes it easier on you as a marketer because everything is housed in one spot, but it allows you to capture time frames that your audience is the most engaged.
Once you learn when your audience is active on your channel, you are able to schedule social media posts around those hours to ensure a high success rate in clickability and interaction.
TIP #2
Use call to actions buttons or call to action words to increase click-rate
Have you ever thought about what makes your audience click your material and follow through to the next steps? Are you using words that initiate conversation? Sometimes it’s as simple as telling your followers you are doing a monthly giveaway and using words like “winner”, “win”, and “free”. Other times, it’s as simple as ASKING your connections to share, comment, or like your post so that your content circulates the worldwide web.
Call to action buttons are great to add within your social media image such as “click here” and “learn more”. If you are able to boost posts (there is a fee associated with this) then there are options to add an actual button to drive consumers to click your ad. These buttons may include “send us a message”, “contact us”, and “visit our website”.
TIP #3
Use images and videos as often as possible
Sometimes you are just not sure what to do to grab your audience’s attention. Trust me, I have been there too. But when in doubt, I like to take a step back and watch my own social media scrolling and ask myself these 3 questions:
- What made me stop and look at this post instead of scrolling past it like so many other posts?
- What makes this post engaging? How is the audience responding to this post? Are there lots of comments and likes?
- Why did I click-through to the “next steps” of this post? What type of words or call to actions did they use?
After I map out these questions, it is time to brainstorm.
Now, here’s something very important about about images…are you ready…
Your images must be self-explanatory, easy to follow, and something that does not need a caption or require a long thread post.
Think of something along the lines of an infographic, an image that you create that is in brand and tells the viewer EXACTLY what they are going to get when they click your link.
Now let’s discuss video.
If you follow our blogs, you will notice that we have jumped on this trend as well. We want to deliver content in ALL formats (text, video, images, downloads, e-books, etc). This makes your brand not only look more “attractive” but it shows that you are evolving with the social media world. With so many FREE options like Facebook and Instagram Live and the ability to upload videos to Youtube why not take advantage of it?
