Insurance Team Do You Have Tiggers or Eeyores?
Check out the next insurance performance videos. You’re insurance team is probably familiar with Eeyore and Tigger, the two beloved characters from the Winnie-the-Pooh series. Eeyore, a gray donkey, is known for being gloomy and downtrodden, while Tigger is an energetic tiger. When we’re looking at members of an insurance team, you might be able to compare them to these two characters. Some members of your insurance team may come to mind as being more energetic and exuberant, while others can have a pessimistic attitude, treat nearly everything as a disaster, and are likely underperforming.
“But the bottom line is this: Attitude is definitely a choice. So when you choose your attitude in the morning, you can choose to wake up with gratitude and be thankful that you wake up.” (3:04)
Insurance Rate Increase: Having the Conversation About Rate
“I wanna take some time and just rewire our brain. We don’t necessarily need to jump into problem-solving mode. We need to jump into conversation mode. So how can we have an adult professional conversation about rates?” (1:13)
If there’s one moment that can cause an insurance agent to freeze up, it’s when there’s an insurance rate increase. That’s because most agents don’t actually have a plan for what to do when this happens. This can cause agents to feel tense or anxious, and result in some awkward interactions with clients. After an insurance rate increase, agents may feel like they’re going to lose clients, and that they need to jump into problem-solving mode, to get out of the situation as quickly as possible.
