4 Things to do Now Before the End of the Year: Get a Plan
We’re back for another week of videos, and all of this week we’re going to tackle a big topic: 4 things to do before the end of the year.
“Your team deserves structure. Your team deserves another vision, And honestly, change becomes much easier when there’s time to digest it. So we like to say a ship without a captain is just floating in the ocean. And if your agency doesn’t have a plan for next year, that’s what you’re gonna do.”
Can you believe the end of the year is almost here? Right now, there’s only six weeks left of the entire year, which is pretty unbelievable. But in order to be successful next year, and take advantage of the opportunities that are about to come your way, you’re going to need to take some action.
Today we’re talking about the first of the 4 things to do before the end of the year, and today’s topic is making a plan. Here’s what you need to know about getting a plan together for the new year:
Change is easier when there’s time to digest it
We always preach about this, because we truly believe in it. We even have an entire course called “Plan and Execute.” The whole idea is understanding how to get a plan together for your team. Your team deserves structure, and they deserve another vision. And honestly, change is much easier when there’s time to digest it. Instead of springing change on them, you can give them time to get on board.
Without a plan, you’re just floating
We like to say a ship without a captain is just floating in the ocean. If your agency doesn’t have a plan for the next year, that’s what you’re going to do, just float. Or you’ll do what some people do, and wait to make a plan until the new year is underway, and lose an entire month. That’s not what you want to do either.
Plans help us maximize resources
As small business owners, we don’t have infinite time or budget. So setting a plan helps us stay structured and identify which resources we have. And at the end of the day, when we’re disciplined about our plan for the new year, we’re much more likely to get to where we want to be.
