4 Things to do Now Before the End of the Year: Have the Hard Conversations
As the year comes to a close, you have a chance to clear out all the clutter that 2021 has left you with. Before the next one comes, you have time to have the hard conversations in your insurance agency.
“If there is an issue with an employee who isn’t cooperating, you have the right to ask them to step up.”
No one really likes having them (unless you are that person, then this isn’t for you because you have had all the conversations), but you need to stop putting them off.
“I have to handle THIS first.”
“They haven’t been so bad lately.”
“It’s not that important.”
You might believe all these things, but ultimately, they’re all excuses. Pull yourself away from those feelings and have the hard conversation. You are only making it harder by putting it off and giving it all this momentum in your mind. It’s like a title wave from there, but if you take a second, you can see that you are actually just standing in a wave pool.
If there is an issue with an employee who isn’t cooperating, you have the right to ask them to step up. The same goes for a vendor (or even a client) that is causing problems.
You deserve to have that thing you pay for or that behavior you need to not rip your hair out when no one is looking. Have that hard conversation and get what you deserve. Don’t go into 2022 with this baggage.
