Yes, being efficient will make you an insurance super hero. In today’s world, carriers are pushing more work back on to the agents and cutting commissions. The only way to embrace the new world is to find ways to be efficient. There are a number of things you can do so we created a short list for you to “borrow” from:
- Think about your scanning. Are you getting up and down or doing it all at once?
- Are you using email to your advantage or are you trapped in it all day?
- Are you using keyboard shortcuts in your management system?
- Are you bridging data from your rating software to your management system and the carriers?
- Are you confirming contact information on every call? It will save you time in the future!
- Are there detailed notes in your management system to make it easy for everyone to see what’s going on?
- Do you ask your clients how they want to be communicated with? This will save a great deal of time in the future.
- Do you have templated emails you can just pick from?
- Are you grouping together tasks to keep it simple?
- Do you have multiple screens to maximize your efficiency?
