Cross Selling Insurance – How Do I Ask For More When The Client Is Already Spending So Much With Us?
Cross selling insurance, when you feel like the client is already spending so much of their hard earned money, can be hard. It’s especially hard to cross sell insurance when no one has really given you a plan. The feeling that they are spending so much money on insurance with us already is just that — it’s a feeling! We have to face our own fears on insurance price to remind ourselves what we are here to do — protect what people work hard for every day. That mission means we need to educate and lead people on their insurance. It’s unfair to assume that people aren’t interested in other lines of insurance that they may not even know about! Your main job is to make sure people have options for protecting their families and businesses. Think to yourself: what is more expensive — having the wrong coverage in a claim or the small investment in the right insurance coverage with your agency? Also, think: if they aren’t spending it with you, who are they spending it with?
