Producer Mindset: Abundance Vs Scarcity

There is something to be said for having an abundance mindset in your insurance agency. 

“Having an abundance mindset is akin to always being open to the possibility of a sale.”

You might think that this is some useless hippie stuff but think about it in terms of attention. When you aren’t paying attention, anything can pass your notice. They do social experiments on this stuff all the time. 

If you are looking left, you simply won’t be able to see what is on the right. That is why we teach kids to look both ways. 

Having an abundance mindset is akin to always being open to the possibility of a sale. That is why we are talking about the producer mindset and why it needs to be geared toward abundance, not scarcity. 

An example of a scarcity mindset could be something like having a flight to Japan for vacation, but while you are at LAX, they cancel your flight due to the new strain of the C-word. You have a choice. You can take a new flight to a new place because you still have all that time off, or you can say “it’s all over” and go home and have no trip at all.

Opportunity is everywhere, but you need to be able to see it. That is why you need to encourage an abundance mindset in your insurance agency, especially regarding your producers.
