Top 3 Reasons To Use Facebook For Business Growth

Ahh, the lovely world of social media. The place that we check up on friends, what’s going on in the world, watch adorable videos of animals, and lately, a popular place to debate politics.

You know what else social media is good for? Your business!

That’s right. You can advertise, target a specific audience, get your products out there, and best of all, a lot of this can be done with spending little to no money!

At Agency Performance Partners, we use Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, and Youtube to reach our current and prospective clients. However, the one that really drives our site traffic every month is Facebook.

Facebook has just about 400 million members and ⅓ of those members are in the United States. The average person spends about 55 minutes A DAY on Facebook. It is also the most popular form of social networking for marketers across the world!

Here are the top 3 reasons you should start using Facebook for business growth:

  1. Build Meaningful Relationships With Customers
  2. Drive Sales
  3. Engagement With Target Audience and Influencing Prospects

Building Meaningful Relationships With Customers

It’s nearly impossible to stay in touch with ALL of your clients on a daily or weekly basis. Everyone is on a schedule and time is limited. Using a tool like Facebook for your business allows you to stay up-to-date with customers. You can post meaningful and valuable information for your clients (e.g. events you will be attending, your company’s newest addition to the team, any fun or new products your current clientele may be interested in). You can also interact with your customer base on a 1:1 basis i.e. leave comments/replies to their posts.

If you are not using a CRM tool that publishes to your social media channels, Facebook has the option to schedule social media posts for your page (located in the “Publishing Tools” tab on your business homepage). Set aside some time once a week to have a scheduled post ready for at least Monday-Friday. They don’t always have to be serious and business related, but they should be interactive.

Drive Sales

Yes, Facebook can help drive your sales. Facebook offers an option where you can set up a “shop” and products can be easily available for purchase.  It allows you to boost and advertise your business (this requires some funds, however your ad can cost as little as $5), and most importantly, engage with your audience!

There are many facets to paid advertising on social media, but the more you can be out there in front of your target audience, the more opportunities you create for your business to grow!

P.S. You can track all of your posts to see what your audience is interested in and gets the most clicks. This can help you dictate what holds value to your customers, if your boosted posts are working, and what you can do next month to keep those numbers growing!

Engagement With Target Audience And Influencing Prospects

So, Facebook has these neat tools where you can target specific audiences by interest, job titles, location, age, gender, and just about anything else you can think of. You can create different target audiences for different ads or boosted links you may post. This allows you to reach your current clients AND prospects which gives you new and additional leads to keep your business growing.

Audiences engage more with your boosts when they are being offered an image, video, or infographic that adds some sort of value to their own business. Try to offer them 1-2 items a month that is a free download, or maybe a short video to update them on new and exciting things your company is doing.

Last thing, Facebook’s “about” section – keep this updated! Make sure your current hours, location, phone number, email, website, etc are displayed and readily available to that prospective client.
