Why Can’t Account Managers & Producers Get Along: Gratitude

We’re up to our last video of this week’s topic: why account managers and producers can’t seem to get along. It’s an industry fact, and yet, so often this dilemma goes unanswered. But if both account managers and producers take the time and energy to show your insurance team gratitude, everyone will start to appreciate one another, and be able to coexist peacefully.

“The two cannot coexist without one another. The two parties are vital to learning that account or to get that project done or to doing work together. The account manager is completely and utterly important as well as the producer.”

When you’re working together and co-existing as teams, it’s crucial to show the other side some gratitude. Even if it’s just a short email to say “Hey, I noticed you went above and beyond on this,” or “I couldn’t have gotten this done without you.” Another great idea is to send a small gift, such as a $10 gift card for coffee, or whatever their favorite thing is. Small acts of gratitude go a long way, and when you’re working with people every day, it’s important that you notice the work that they’re doing.

Account managers and producers need to remember that everyone is working hard, and that a lot more can get accomplished when everyone works hard together. Account managers and producers can’t coexist without one another. The two parties are vital to learning accounts, getting projects done, and doing work together.

At the end of the day, when both account managers and producers show gratitude to one another, and appreciate everyone’s work together as a team, you’re much more likely to be able to work well together.
